Brain-surgery #2 March 13th 7:30 am.

Ok guys the time has come for brain surgery number 2 for skull based resection/removal.

This is some very scary shit guys. I’m literally At the hospital by 5:30 am and I’m freaking out. I know I have to be strong because a few of my kids are here with me and my husband so I’m going to try to go in and not have a meltdown but I can’t promise anything.

I muster up the guts to go in and I’m back at admissions. This time I’m prepared which somehow makes feels lot better. I had advanced directive done a d signed and life insurance done. It just felt better this time around.

Now remember my first surgery I almost died and that’s when I had my NDE. This time I don’t expect anything like that to happen again.

Different surgeon. This time I went with my gut. My intuition and I just know it’s going to lead me right!

Ok I’m admitted. March 13,2024. Sorry I didn’t have time to wire this then so I’m going back in to give you guys the information.

Going back to pre op room and this time feels totally different. I think it’s going to be a good day!!

Before and After brain tumor

Surgery is done.

As you can see by this before and after photo the tumor was pretty large and encasing my brain stem and my spinal cord.

Surgery took 12 hours and I’ve literally been sleeping for days since then. This is now Saturday. Today I woke up and ate food for the first time since being put under.

I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck right now. 12 hours is a very long time to be put under. And I’m feeling everyone effects now.

But I have to say I’m very happy right now! My doctors plan going into this surgery was to be optimistically cautious, and try to take out 80% often tumors and hit the other 20% with radiation and I was very happy with that! He ended up getting 90% out!! Now I only have to do radiation on 10%.

First time up out of bed since surgery
Lumbar Drain
New incision so much better than last time

Ok I’m getting really loopy from my pain meds so I’ll to write more tomorrow because I have a lot to tell ya’ll so please come back tomorrow and we’ll chat more!

Thank you for being here with me!
